Looking back over the past year, it’s hard to believe that it’s over. This past Saturday marked the 100th Anniversary of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Dunmore, PA, and with it the completion of a photographic project that began last November, when I agreed to help my close friend and fellow photographer Paul Sevensky capture his church’s historic year in photos.
And really that’s how it all started – the annual bar-b-que at a friend’s house, burgers on the grill, lounge chairs on the lawn, and ice cream for dessert. It sounds like the perfect way to spend a sunny, summer afternoon. And it was. So where’s the mayhem?
