Some random images from “Pride & Prejudice”

BRENT PENNINGTON Cast members from The Vintage's production of "Pride & Prejudice" take to the streets of downtown Scranton during 1st Friday to promote the show on the evening of 03 May 2013.

“Pride & Prejudice” opened to a packed house and the first three performances went off without a hitch. They’re taking a break during the week and will run the second set of three performances on Friday and Saturday – so if you haven’t gotten down to see it yet, this is your last chance!

First Friday Jazz Festival

Last Friday night was the kickoff to Scranton’s Jazz Festival, beginning with a rocking (is that the right term for jazz-centric bands?) First Friday downtown.  It’s been at least a year since we went down to First Friday, although I’m not entirely sure why, since it’s really a nice time.  The downtown is lively and there’s no shortage of things to do, or see.  Especially when it’s part of a bigger event.

Jesse & Allison: 09-10-11

Jesse and Allison Narkewicz's wedding reception, held at the Bellinger Estate near Storrs, CT, on the afternoon of 10 September 2011.

Jesse has been my best friend since Kindergarten. We grew up together, learned to drive together, got ready for Proms together, and although we eventually went to college in different states, we’ve remained close in the years since leaving home. Now Jess has made the big leap and gotten married to Allison, who is simply wonderful and compliments him perfectly.

His wedding was a dual honor for me – not only was I able to serve as a groomsman and hand him the rings while he made his vows, but I was able to photograph the reception afterwards for him. (I offered to cover the whole wedding, but we decided that it would be difficult for me to be at the alter with him, and taking photos at the same time!)
